(LK time)The Sri Lanka Veterinary Association (SLVA) began a 24-hour symbolic strike at 6:00 AM today (9), asking for answers to long-standing issues related to their service constitution.
Chairman Upul Ranjith Kumara, speaking at a media briefing in Colombo yesterday (8), said the strike is mainly due to the failure to put into action a service constitution specially prepared for veterinarians, along with other important requests.
