The 2024 (2025) G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination starts today (17) at 3,663 locations across the country, with 474,147 students expected to take part.
It is reported that 398,182 school students and 75,965 private applicants have registered for the O/L exam.
Accordingly, Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara, urges candidates to reach their respective exam venues early with their admission documents and valid ID.
“Keep your admission slip and ID ready, and bring them for the test. Your ID must be shown for each subject you sit for. The admission slip will be taken on the first day and will not be returned. You may also carry pens and pencils for writing. No other items are allowed. If needed, someone can bring a water bottle. Please keep this in mind,” he emphasised.
