Talking about his choice to retain the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Colombo District leadership for himself, in addition to his party leadership,
Leader of the Opposition, Sajith Premadasa, stated that he has no issues with MP Harsha de Silva. “I have no issues with Harsha, and my decision to hold onto the SJB Colombo District leadership has nothing to do with it,” he told reporters.
He was replying to a question posed by journalists as to why Dr. De Silva was not appointed as the district leader. Earlier, Dr. De Silva claimed that he was the most appropriate person for the SJB Colombo District leadership.
“I am the most qualified person for the SJB Colombo District leadership, but I do not seek posts. One cannot secure positions by force,” he told the press.
