The well-known Sri Lankan rapper and vocalist, ‘Shan Putha,’ was taken into custody by Homagama Police today (14) for allegedly possessing a 9mm firearm.
As per police statements, a constable from Mannar Police and Shan Putha’s handler were also detained regarding the incident.
Findings indicate that the arrested police officer had reportedly stolen the firearm from the Matara Kotuwila Police Station and handed it over to the musician.
Authorities have commenced additional inquiries into the matter.
