A shooting incident took place near Araliyagaha Junction in the Weliweriya Police Division, leaving one individual wounded, police confirmed.
The victim, a 26-year-old from Udugampola, was rushed to Gampaha Hospital for medical care after sustaining gunshot injuries.
The attack reportedly occurred around 9:00 p.m. today (13).
Authorities have yet to determine the reason behind the shooting or identify the culprits.
Three investigative teams, including Weliweriya Police, are actively working to track down the assailants.
