The telephone company owned by the government is also being sold

Treasury Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena has informed the Colombo Stock Market that the cabinet has approved the sale of all shares owned by the Government of Lanka in Sri Lanka Telecom.

The Treasury Secretary also states that these shares will be sold in the future as introduced by the State Enterprise Reform Unit under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy.

The Treasury owns 49.5% of the shares of Sri Lanka Telecom and after giving up that share ownership, the Government of Sri Lanka has no ownership of any communication company in the country.
